A business visitor is someone who comes to Canada to take part in international business activities without entering into the Canadian labour market. Business visitors usually stay in Canada for a few days, weeks or months. As each situation is unique, this is determined on an individual basis.
In addition, business visitors are required to prove what the main purpose of their trip to Canada is, and that their main source of income and place of business are outside Canada. If not considered a business visitor by the authorities, a work permit will be required.
